Life & Work with Jennifer Williams

Today we’d like to introduce you toJennifer Williams

Hi Jennifer , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey with motivational speaking began in college, where I discovered the power of words to inspire and uplift. I started incorporating motivational themes into my daily life, which eventually led to my involvement in various speaking engagements and events.

One pivotal moment in my journey was during a particularly challenging period in my life. I was at one of my lowest points when my grandmother, the matriarch of our family, shared her journal from 1986 with me. Her unwavering gratitude to God, regardless of the circumstances, deeply moved and encouraged me. It was a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience we can find through faith and gratitude.

Inspired by my grandmother’s example, I decided to create That’s BAE Stationary. BAE stands for ‘Blessed Above Everything,’ and it embodies the values of gratitude, resilience, and inspiration that have guided me throughout my journey. Through That’s BAE Stationary, I aim to share these values with others, providing tools and resources to help people stay motivated and uplifted in their own lives.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has definitely not been smooth. As an entrepreneur, the journey is always filled with ups and downs. One of the most challenging aspects for me has been managing the internal struggles in my own mind. Keeping a positive mindset, believing in myself, and ensuring that my business serves others have been constant battles.

It’s crucial for me to keep God first and not be swayed by the external pressures and comparisons, especially those fueled by social media. Social media can make us feel like we’re not doing enough, which can be incredibly discouraging. I’ve had to work hard to maintain my sense of self and remember that my business and vision are aligned with God’s purpose for me.

Understanding and embracing who I am, regardless of what’s happening around me, has been key. It’s about staying true to the vision and purpose God has set for me and my business, even when the road gets tough.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I refer to myself as the Queen of Motivation. Every day, I wake up with the intention to motivate myself and others. Some days, it’s a challenge just to get out of bed for people. but I make it a priority to speak life into others and uplift them through my words and actions.

I also have a deep passion for designing and creating art with my notebooks and journals. I aspire to be the modern-day Lisa Frank, infusing vibrant, joyful designs with motivational messages that inspire creativity and positivity.

What I’m most proud of is the impact I’ve had on people’s lives. Knowing that my words and creations can make a difference, offering encouragement and hope to someone who needs it, is incredibly fulfilling. It’s this dedication to spreading positivity and motivation through both my words and my art that truly sets me apart from others.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising that most people who know me or my work might not know is that in my early 20s, I was a stand-up comedian. I performed on Broadway , and debut at the number one comedy club in America, Carolines on Broadway. This experience helped shape my ability to connect with audiences and bring joy through humor, which continues to influence my motivational speaking and writing today.
