Today we’d like to introduce you to Alabama Rain Robertson.

Hi Alabama Rain, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Ryan and Missie Robertson met at a party. Ryan was immediately attracted to the young petite Missie Murray, who had just moved to Alabama from the D. C. area. Ryan found himself boldly introducing hisself to the young beauty who was nice and polite but not as interested in the loud confident suitor as he was in her.
Later in the evening, to Ryan’s good fortune, the host of the party asked Ryan to play and sing a few selections of songs on her grand piano. After singing the first verse of Dan Folgerberg’s song “Run For The Roses”, Missie enter the parlor from another room to see who was performing the popular radio song at that time. To her dismay, it was the very young man who tried to engage her attention earlier in the evening. Ryan, not aware that Missie played the flute and guitar, how found a way to grab her attention for the next few minutes. After his performance, a conversation began again but strictly about music.
Ryan was able to get her number and later get an invitation to come to her home to meet her parents and play music together one winter evening.

Boom! After several jam sessions, Ryan seem to get his foot in the door and the two began to perform together at churches and small venues.
Ryan and Missie got married in college and both finished Jacksonville State University. Missie in Nursing and Ryan in Elementary Education. Music has always been apart the equation of the family. Ryan and Missie raised three musical children who began to perform together with them at churches and festivals.

Durning the summer months, Ryan began work for a large Atlanta Theme park where he produced, directed and performed shows. Missie and Ryan also produced their young children band show that had over three successful years at the theme park.

The couple were busy working, raising teenagers, helping at church but always including music in their activities . Ryan and Missie, with their teenagers began to play wedding receptions which help a great deal with upcoming college and expenses.

Now that Ryan and Missie are empty nesters and after many years of music, bands and raising a family, they have developed their own duo named “ Alabama Rain.
