Born in the small town of Lincolnton, Georgia, Vickey Partlow known to the world as Vickey P — learned early what resilience, faith, and determination truly meant. Small towns produce big spirits, and Vickey’s was one of them. Her roots gave her humility, faith gave me strength, and creativity gave me wings.
But her journey wasn’t simple.
It wasn’t handed to her.
It was built piece by piece, prayer by prayer, moment by moment.
Life demanded a lot from her, and she rose to every challenge. Raising four children wasn’t easy it stretched her, shaped her, and strengthened her. There were days she had to push through exhaustion, moments she had to fight for joy, and seasons where she had to trust God more than ever. But those children became her motivation, her grounding, and her reason to keep rising.
Her story is not one of ease it’s one of endurance.
Before the fashion, before the ties, before the media nominations there was a calling.

Vickey stepped confidently into hosting movie premieres, bringing her signature energy to the big screen. She became a familiar face on red carpet events, guiding conversations, celebrating creatives, and elevating every moment with her presence.
And because empowering women is part of her calling, she began hosting her own women’s empowerment events creating spaces where women could heal, grow, connect, and rise. These events became extensions of her heart, her faith, and her purpose.

She applied for media access to a Goodwill show.
They asked for looks and something she created.
She submitted her tie work the same playful creativity she did just because she loved it.
Out of 30 people, only six were chosen.
And Vickey was one of them.
Not because she tried to fit in.

Behind every strong woman is a root and for Vickey, that root is her 93‑year‑old grandmother, Julia Mae Leverette. Her only living grandparent, Julia Mae has been praying for Vickey since the day she was born. Every milestone, every challenge, every breakthrough… her grandmother’s prayers have covered her. She continues to pray faithfully for Vickey, William, and their entire family. Her strength, her wisdom, and her unwavering faith are the foundation of who Vickey P is today.
In the midst of building platforms, and walking boldly in her calling,
Vickey experienced one of her greatest blessings marrying the love of her life, William White. A man who protects her, supports her, and allows her to be fully, authentically herself. Together, they built a beautiful blended family of seven children and eight grandchildren, a legacy overflowing with love, laughter, and purpose. Their home is covered not just by love, but by faith.
Vickey and William attend Friendship Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Tyson Burwell and First Lady MyShonda Burwell, who welcomed them with open arms and embraced them as family. Their spiritual leadership, love, and acceptance became a grounding force in Vickey’s journey a place where she could grow, serve, and stay rooted in God’s word.

Vickey’s rise wasn’t smooth, easy, or handed to her. She fought through seasons that could have broken her but instead, they built her.
There were moments when life felt heavy.
Times when she had to choose faith over fear.
Times when she had to keep going even when she was tired, overwhelmed, or unsure.
She faced personal setbacks, and the weight of raising four children while trying to discover her own identity. She navigated heartbreak, disappointment, and doors that closed before she even had the chance to knock. She worked jobs that drained her, pushed through days when she felt unseen, and carried responsibilities that would have crushed a weaker spirit.
But she kept showing up.
She kept praying.
She kept believing that God had more for her.
Her grandmother’s prayers covered her.
Her husband’s support strengthened her.
Her children’s love motivated her.
Her faith sustained her.
