Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Rocquelle McKeithen—better known as Rocki—is a singer, songwriter, recording artist, and storyteller whose music is rooted in soul, R&B, authenticity, and lived experience.
Rocki’s journey as an artist has been shaped by a deep love for music and a desire to create songs that feel honest, relatable, and timeless. Through it all, she has continued to show up for her music and her fans as fully as she could, even while healing and rediscovering parts of herself. These experiences have shaped her strength, her perspective, and the honesty that lives in her music today.

How do you define success?

It is being able to turn my lived experiences—both the beautiful and the painful—into music that connects with people on a deeper level. If my songs make someone feel seen, understood, or less alone, then I am successful.
Success is also growth. It is continuing to evolve as an artist without losing who I am. It is honoring my Southern roots, my voice, and my story while still expanding into new spaces creatively and professionally.
On a personal level, success is peace. It is being able to move through life with gratitude instead of anxiety, confidence instead of doubt, and purpose instead of confusion. It is protecting my energy, my health, and my creativity so I can continue to show up fully in my gift.
And most importantly, success is impact over image. It is not about being the loudest or the most visible—it is about being real enough that my music stays with people long after they hear it.
