Hi Alexis, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey as an esthetician five years ago, during a time when I knew I needed to make a major change in my life. I made the decision to quit my job because I realized I wanted and needed more, not just for myself, but for my daughter.
Being a mother and knowing that I was responsible for creating a stable future for her became my biggest motivation. My daughter inspired me more than anything. She gave me the courage to take a chance on myself, step outside of what was comfortable, and pursue a career that could give us both a better life.
What started as a decision to provide more for my daughter eventually grew into a genuine passion for the beauty industry. Over the past five years, I’ve continued learning, growing, perfecting my craft, and building something of my own. Looking back, quitting my job was a leap of faith, but it became the beginning of a journey that has allowed me to become a better provider, businesswoman, and example for my daughter.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of my greatest challenges has been learning how to be everything to everyone without losing myself in the process. Entrepreneurship has taught me that I can be dedicated to my clients, my daughter, and my goals while still creating boundaries and making room for myself.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in enhancing natural beauty and helping women feel confident in their own skin. My services focus primarily on permanent brows, lash extensions, brow services, and skincare, with each service customized to complement my client’s individual features and desired look. For me, beauty is more than just providing a service. I want every client who sits in my chair to feel comfortable, cared for, and beautiful. I take pride in providing quality work, paying attention to the smallest details, and creating results that enhance what my clients already have rather than completely changing who they are.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as being able to create a life that I’m proud of while providing stability and opportunities for my daughter. Success isn’t just about how much money I make, it’s about having the freedom to make my own choices, continuing to grow, and knowing that the sacrifices I’ve made are creating something meaningful.
For me, success is building businesses that are sustainable, being financially secure, continuing to accomplish my personal and professional goals, and still being present for the people I love.
