Hidden Gems: Meet Beth Kines of Wade’s Wardrobe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Kines.

Hi Beth , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve been doing some sort of business since I was little. The very first thing that I did was start making and selling hairbows. I ventured into candy a little while after I was doing hairbows. Being is business for myself was something that I’ve been doing since I was a little girl.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There’s been some ups and downs. I have wanted to give up so many times, but after taking some steps back and reevaluating some things I didn’t give up. The biggest struggles that I’ve faced is launching a product that I thought would do well and it ended up not doing well at all.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Wade’s Wardrobe?
My business creates custom items from shirts, cups, hats, etc. I started this business after I was making my own shirts as a hobby. I never thought about turning it into a business until after so many other people were asking me to make them things. I specialize in custom items, but I can make anything. What sets me apart from others is that I don’t let any of my orders sit until I get a bunch to make. I can usually make anything within 48 hours and I pride myself of getting my products out as swiftly as possible. I would love for everyone to know that I try to keep my prices affordable so that everyone can experience what I have to offer.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Risk taking is scary, but often necessary in order to achieve goals. I consider myself a risk taker in some instances, but I’m very cautious. I took a risk my putting myself out there with my business and I do believe that it has paid off.
