Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Belle
Hi Christian, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I became intrigued with makeup at such an early age. As a child performer, most people know that life comes with lots glittery costumes and pounds of makeup and as a kid, I really enjoyed getting glammed up. I continued dancing all through out high school. Once I got to college, I started practicing makeup on my friends and I thought to myself “I could do this for a living” and here I am 7 years later still loving what I do.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all! Life just doesn’t work that way. There will always be obstacles and hiccups in the process, just to better help you appreciate your journey once you get to the finish line.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a free lance makeup artist, residing out of Mobile, Alabama. I’m in the process of starting my own cosmetic line for all colors and shades of the rainbow. As an African American women, with a darker complexion, I’ve noticed it’s a bit challenging trying to find makeup that best matches my skin tone, so I want create a line that everyone use. I can honestly say the thing I’m most proud of is my journey, I wouldn’t where I am without journey I’ve had. It has made so resilient.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Great things take time! Prayer and patience has been essential throughout my entrepreneurial journey. Waiting and letting the Lord do his work throughout my career has opened my mind to different possibilities. God is going give me the blessings I’ve work so hard for but he’s going to give me those blessings when he knows I’m ready for them.
