Check Out Jessica Lynch’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Lynch.

Hi Jessica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Since a child I always wanted to be an artist; turns out I would be but faces would be my canvas! I thank God for my gift! I’ve been a makeup artist for about 15 years, and what started as a hobby grew into one of my life’s greatest joys. I studied Communication with a focus in Radio and Television, and while I was in college I also trained in theatrical makeup through the theater department. That gave me an even stronger foundation, but most of what I’ve learned has come from years of working with real clients and continuing to grow my craft.

My goal is always the same—to provide a calm, professional experience while encouraging and uplifting people from all walks of life. Whether it’s your wedding day, birthday, commercial shoot, or just a random Tuesday when you need a little pick-me-up, I’m honored to be part of those moments. I’m grateful for every opportunity that’s brought me to this point.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like most people, I’ve had seasons where things came easily and seasons where I had to figure it out as I went.

One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to balance being a wife, and a mom while also living with Multiple Sclerosis. Being diagnosed with MS definitely changed my perspective. It taught me to give myself grace and to be intentional with my time.
It really is true “Life be lifing”.
Every challenge has made me stronger, both personally and professionally. It’s taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of showing up for people—even when life isn’t perfect. I think those experiences have made me a better artist and service provider because I understand that everyone is carrying something, and a little kindness and encouragement can go a long way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What I’m most proud of isn’t a specific job or a high-profile client I’ve worked with—it’s the relationships I’ve built and the trust my clients have placed in me over the years. It’s the young lady whose makeup I did for prom a decade ago now calling me to do her wedding. It’s the college student I mentored while he was majoring in theater who still checks in with me from time to time. It’s Mrs. Jane, who I worked with years ago, reaching back out because she’s excited about new headshots for the next chapter of her career.
Many of my clients have been with me for years and continue to recommend me to their friends and family. To me, that’s the greatest compliment because it tells me I’ve made an impact beyond the makeup.

I think what sets me apart is the experience I create. Getting your makeup done can be a vulnerable experience, and I want every client who sits in my chair to feel comfortable, seen, and genuinely encouraged. I want them to leave feeling beautiful, confident, and reminded of just how amazing they already are.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality I feel is most important to my success is consistency—showing up with the same level of care, professionalism, and intention no matter the client or the day and my ability to give grace. We are all here doing this thing for the first time and it cost nothing to be kind.
