Today we’d like to introduce you to Annie Latrice
Hi Annie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
To get to where I am today, I just recognized my passions and talents. Then, took a hold of them. I made goals, around style and business, and I stuck to them.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth is not a word that I would use, for my journey. The first struggle, that reared its head, was learning. I have always considered myself smart. However, I have my on way of learning. I am not good with tests/exams. While going through college, of course, this was an issue. My freshman year, because of my learning style (and partying), I had a rough time with classes. One of my goals, was to be formally educated; so, I had to figure it out! I had to learn, how to retain information in a way that would translate through exams. It took me some time, but I got it.
Also, I faced some health challenges, that halted my progression through my Master’s program. At that time, I was completing my program in-person. Because of my health, I was forced to withdraw from classes two semesters in a row. Then, I ultimately had to stop the program, to move home and have surgery. However, I knew that I wanted to complete my MBA program. After I healed and regained some sense of normalcy, I found an online program to enroll in. There was a big gap in time; but, I’m glad I persisted.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Annie Latrice, LLC?
Annie Latrice, is a brand of style. I started, by providing personal styling services. Now, I offer affordable (quality) clothing and accessories for women. My goal, has always been, to make women feel beautiful! Unlike others, I am not simply trying to sell products. My goal, is to offer items that encourage people to start or maintain their journey of personal style.
Personal style, is something that is important to me. Developing personal style is internal work. The journey requires self assessment and reflection. It requires you to know and accept yourself and your body. The confidence that women feel, once they find out that they can they look great while incorporating elements of things that they like, brings me so much joy! You don’t have to be in someone else’s body, or cosplay as someone else, to look great. I want to make sure every woman knows that!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Most people may be surprised to know, that I do have a closet full of clothing. At this stage of my life, I do not buy many random things. I only purchase items that I absolutely love, and I am really good at mixing and matching! With accessories, I can turn one piece into 10 different looks.
