Conversations with Byron Ford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Byron Ford.

Hi Byron, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Yeah I always knew what I wanted to do basically. It was always music & business, and as I got older, investing and playing the market game. I grew up in Hidden Creek, we all had Good imaginations and creativity, and I always knew I could do anything I want. Music and business are natural for me. I’ve been singing since forever, I just didn’t realize what I was doing until later, probably around 2008/2009. I started writing around that time and I was writing rap songs but I would always end up singing them. Shoutout to DSSB by the way. Real fifth grade Coolness. People will probably never see the rap folder, but I wrote that Two Step Remix the exact same way T Pain sang it before it came out Lol! So yep music has always been there and singing is my passion. I always say don’t forget about the bars though, they are certainly there as well! Started the label around 2017/2018 and been getting to it ever since. Started the clothing division of the business around the same time too. That part is currently being re loaded, there are a lot of new things coming. There are so many ways I can talk about the journey really and so much I can say. I Love it all, but new Albums and Music are on the way. It is all being strategically aligned. The Gospel Album is definitely first though. Two singles from the Album, “Glorification” and “Make America Grace Again” are out now. It’s been all Love and I even see other countries tuning in!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
You know, people like to remind you how life is not all sunshine and rainbows, but it’s the exact opposite over here. My Life is quite literally all sunshine and rainbows. At the end of the day you see, and actually throughout the whole day, Christ is my Life and My only circumstance is Jesus. If there were any struggles along the way, We looked at them, said Always Grace and kept the journey going. No external factors can ever change the circumstance. My Life can’t be anything but Good and the Road can’t be anything but Gold. That’s just how It goes. Always Grace

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
People know about music & business. Some know about my passion for the markets so let’s talk about that. I actually Love investing. The entire system is literally a game, but even if it weren’t, it would still be a game to Me. That’s how I play it. One of my favorite things to do is buy assets, it’s all one big fun adventure. I Love to explain how it works too and help others. One of the easiest things ever is making money in the market. You simply need Belief, patience and discipline. What sets me apart from others is exactly that though. I’m Me. The Only One.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Yep! Talked about this before.

Like many things, risk taking is an interesting topic to/for me. The thing about it for me is that I don’t consider anything I Believe in to be a risk at all. Everything you see now, I Believed in and saw a long time ago. Living by Grace, I just see life in a very different way from the things we typically hear. “Don’t get your hopes up” don’t expect much so you won’t be disappointed” “What if this bad thing happens” these are just examples of common quotes that I simply can’t embrace, because I embrace Grace instead. Grace empowers me in everything. I can talk about things I’ve done in the past from a business, creative and investor standpoint that helped shape where I am now but if I have to choose one for now, let’s do music. I’ve always been passionate about music and singing. I used to sing when I was younger and didn’t even really realize what I was doing because it was so natural and I was just naturally in tune with anything involving music. I got older and actually started being in studios, I wasn’t really making anything how I am now, but at the time, the environment was good enough. Here comes my first “risk” as they call it. Haha. All the things I do kind of tie in together here. I invested a lot in myself. I got my own studio, I invested a lot of time recording myself and learning how to get better and better at mixing. Understand too that the whole time all of this is going on, I’m already 100% sure of the outcome. I will always believe in myself without question. It’s me. It’s my life. It’s Grace. Just as a side note, let’s say you’re someone who is unsure or doesn’t know how much confidence they have. Whatever you do and whatever happens, it’s not the end of the world, but at the same exact time all of this is going to end at some point so what exactly is there to be so upset or regretful about? I can go deeper into that because there is more to it. The Gospel is the foundation of course, but that general viewpoint may help some people when it comes to “risk” taking. To get back to the music though, I really always knew I was going to be doing this so anything I did leading up to good point and am currently doing, isn’t a risk. It’s just my life. No one else has to live your life but you. When you live like this every “risk” you take can impact people in a Good way. For example my cousin Dooney is doing everything we used to talk about now. If I didn’t believe in what I was doing, maybe it would look different for both of us because we kind of started together as far as making music. It’s never been difficult for me to go all in on something I Believe in. This actually can make life more enjoyable. Basically though, I’m just sharing how you don’t have to view things as a risk because there’s a downside when you view it like that. Just Believe in what you’re doing by Grace. All things work together for Good.
