Hi Odus , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve designed clothing for about 7 years now and i’d love to create with knitwear to help curate pieces that brings out identity and elements into intricate knitwear styles, materials, and patterns. I started in streetwear with my House Brand “Memories of November” With a subsidiary capsule collection Called “Only God Can Bench Us”! As we matured as a brand, we elevated our name for a more luxury feel to catch the attention of our audience.
This is where it all took off, from learning curves and losses, to execution and experience! Throughout this entire journey, I’ve leaned on God even when doubt, loss, hurt, and anxiety tried to take over my mental. I used my creativity, my talent, to showcase the bond i was building with God! The knitwear I creates represents the strength of the bond you have with Christ! “Knit together in spirit, Intent on one purpose”! I create to use my clothing as the bridge to tell my testimony to those who need encouragement and uplifting! My message to everyone is, message, “ No matter the storm, the doubts, the obstacles, it’s Only Him. God helps us see through everything we put our minds too. Win or lose. For growth or to slow you down. God makes a way and open doors for his children. He prepares us whether he throws us in the fire or sits us down. He shows us whether we are ready for what we’re asking for or not! Just stand strong through the storm knowing that whatever it is you want to come into fruition, it’s him by your side. Only Him!”
I’ve been included or invited to participate in multiple fashion shows or Local Fashion weeks for a presentation! Now with 4 shows under my belt, I have the opportunity to showcase a collection during this New York Fashion Week 2026! I have the opportunity to present with 2 major organizations that may present me with the chance to be added into global fashions as well as the CFDA official fashion week calendar! Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No it hasn’t but that’s what makes us stronger! Learning curves prepare us for anything going array or gives us the experience to know how to handle any situation that may come!
I’ve loss clothing, never recieved clothing from manufacturers, didn’t make profits off a collection, gave a collection away, had damaged goods i still had to sell, as well as products being made completely opposite of what we would confirm! though these things happened it gave me the experience to adjust and handle unexpected changes to come! Growth is for the best and it’s a challenge but it’s worth it!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
With being a fashion designer, it’s hard to get caught in trends, the noise, what your audience wants and not truly being able to create freely! With me, nothing holds me back from creating except production time! What i feel sets me apart from other upcoming designers is i knew my niche way before i wanted to design. My aesthetic for the brand is based off of my closet, not trends or everyday basics like tees and sweats! Once i reached a certain level of designing and collection launching, i moved into curating runway shows! From there my light started to shine and i haven’t looked back yet! I thank God for all the opportunities because even if im overlooked, i know He will place me in the eyes of the right people!
