Daily Inspiration: Meet Easter Grant

Today we’d like to introduce you to Easter Grant.

Hi Easter, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story has always been rooted in discipline, perseverance, and the willingness to keep evolving.

Track and field has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started as an athlete when I was younger, but my journey did not stop there. Over the years, sprinting has taught me focus, patience, resilience, and the importance of showing up even when the process is not easy.

As life changed, I continued building myself in different areas. I developed a professional career in technology and, later, began growing my platform as a fitness and lifestyle creator. Each part of my journey has helped shape who I am today.

One of the most rewarding chapters has been coming back to the track and competing as a masters track athlete. I have been blessed to become a world champion sprinter, earn multiple world titles, set American records, and continue competing at a high level. For me, sprinting is more than just running fast. It is a reminder that you can keep chasing big goals, reinvent yourself, and continue reaching new levels no matter what stage of life you are in.

Today, I use my platform to share my journey as an athlete, creator, and woman who believes in discipline, faith, and resilience. My goal is to inspire others, especially women, to keep pursuing their purpose, take up space, and believe that their story is still being written.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but I believe the challenges are part of what shaped me.

As an athlete, I have had to learn how to stay patient through setbacks, injuries, tough training cycles, and seasons where the results did not come as quickly as I wanted them to. Sprinting can be very humbling because everything shows up on the clock. As I’ve gotten older, one of the biggest challenges has been learning how to keep chasing speed while also respecting my body. In a way, I’m constantly fighting Father Time, but I also see it as proving that age does not have to limit what is possible.

I have also had to balance many different parts of my life: my career, training, competing, content creation, and personal responsibilities. That balance has not always been easy. There are times when I have had to push through fatigue, doubt, and the pressure of trying to show up fully in more than one area.

Another challenge has been learning to bet on myself. Whether it is competing at a high level as a masters athlete, building my brand, or stepping into new opportunities, I have had to overcome moments of fear and uncertainty. I have learned that growth usually requires discomfort.

Through it all, I have become more resilient. The obstacles taught me patience, discipline, and faith. They also reminded me that success is not always about having a perfect path. Sometimes it is about continuing to move forward, even when the road is not smooth.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My professional background is in technology, with a focus on software development and database engineering. I’ve spent many years working in environments where problem-solving, attention to detail, and reliability are very important. A big part of my work has involved helping systems run better, troubleshooting issues, supporting applications, and finding practical solutions that help teams and organizations operate more efficiently.

What I enjoy most about this field is the problem-solving aspect. Technology is always changing, and I like being able to take something complex, break it down, and find a solution that makes sense. I’m known for being resourceful, dependable, and calm under pressure, especially when something needs to be figured out or fixed.

What I’m most proud of is the range of my journey. I have been able to build a professional career in technology while also competing at a world-class level in track and field and growing as a creator. Those areas may seem different, but they all require discipline, consistency, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure.

What sets me apart is that I bring both professional experience and real-life perseverance to everything I do. Whether I’m solving a technical problem, preparing for a race, or creating content, I approach the work with the same mindset: be prepared, stay disciplined, and keep improving.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I think risk is a necessary part of growth. I do not see risk as being reckless. To me, it means being willing to step outside of what feels comfortable in order to become better, stronger, or more aligned with your purpose.

One of the biggest risks I have taken is continuing to pursue track at a high level as a masters athlete. It would be easy to tell myself that certain goals are only for younger athletes, but I have chosen to challenge that idea. Chasing speed as you get older requires a lot of faith, discipline, and courage because nothing is guaranteed. You have to be willing to train hard, compete, put yourself out there, and keep believing in what is possible.

I have also taken risks professionally and personally by stepping into new opportunities, learning new skills, and continuing to evolve even when the path was not always clear. Every new chapter comes with uncertainty, but I have learned that staying still can sometimes be the bigger risk.

My approach to risk is to be thoughtful, prepared, and intentional. I believe in doing the work, trusting my preparation, and then having the courage to move forward. Some of the best things in my life have come from betting on myself.
