Hi Andrèa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Whew where do I start , I’ve had a lot of rebirths over the years. Most good some total fire storms. My journey as a loctician started about four years ago. Shortly after moving back to Birmingham my wife told me she was ready to start her loc journey. After getting her starter Locs she expressed wanting me to continue her haircare. At the time I had no idea about Locs or how to maintain them but with my strong will and determination I was focused on figuring it out. As the universe would have it the Queen that started my wife’s locs dropped a beginner loc class. As soon as I saw it I signed up. In the class we learned all the basics how to start Locs ,how to wash ,products to use and how to care for starter Locs already established . Between that class and lots of hours of YouTube I was ready to take over her haircare. From there things just evolved beautifully I started with my wife then family & friends , started a style seat profile gained a few clients kept staying consistent. Now I have my natural hair license consistent clientele and I’m able to provide a better life for myself and my family.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all mainly due to internal conflicts. I had a hard time letting go of who everyone wanted me to be vs who I was becoming. To walk away from a path that was once a place of peace to travel one of the totally unknown sent me on an emotional rollercoaster. It was a journey I needed to experience the further I went down my new path the more the prayers I’ve prayed of the years begin to come into reality.

I am a licensed loctician with 4 years of experience. I specialize in starter locs, loc repair, natural two strand twist & hair loss restoration. I also have a product line called Mystic Touch Haircare that helps restore hair loss, brings hydration and lasting moisture to locd and natural hair .
What makes me so proud about my company is Ive build my clientele and products from the ground up. Lots of research and development has went into my products to guarantee the best results. As well as my clients have help me continue to embrace being myself and let me know my knowledge ,energy ,compassion, and understanding keeps them coming back to my car year after year. It’s very rewarding.
What does success mean to you?
I define success as happiness and bringing long awaited dreams into reality. For me my success looks like being able to be financially stable doing something that I love,helping others all while still being able to be home at night to spend time with those I love the most. For me it’s more than enough
