My passion for beauty began at a very young age. As a little girl, I spent countless hours in the salon watching my aunt transform women and help them feel beautiful and confident. Inspired by her work, I began practicing hairstyles on my baby sister and Barbie dolls, which quickly grew from a hobby into a true passion. As I got older, I started recreating trendy styles on myself and discovered how much I loved the art of hairstyling.
After high school, I initially pursued a different path, believing it was what I was supposed to do. However, I soon realized that my heart belonged in the beauty industry, helping others feel their best and bringing life back to their crowns. Determined to follow my passion, I enrolled in cosmetology school. There, I honed my skills, gained confidence in my craft, and blossomed into the woman and stylist I was once afraid to become. Today, I am grateful to live out my purpose by helping others feel beautiful, empowered, and confident every day.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building a successful brand may look easy from the outside, but behind every accomplishment is a story of consistency, hard work, and dedication. Entrepreneurship is much like building your dream home every step requires time, patience, and a strong foundation. There have been countless sacrifices, investments, lessons learned, and moments that required me to move by faith rather than sight.
One of the greatest challenges I faced came in 2022, when I was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, a form of blood cancer. That diagnosis brought my entrepreneurial journey to an unexpected pause. I underwent chemotherapy, moved back home with my mother, and stepped away from the business I had worked so hard to build. During that season, I found myself questioning why I had been chosen to walk through such a difficult trial. Yet through it all, my faith remained my anchor. Looking back, I now understand that God was preparing me for something greater than I could have imagined.
Through every challenge, I remained committed to growing, learning, and trusting God’s plan for my life. He didn’t end my story He refined it. My journey through adversity strengthened my character, deepened my faith, and gave me a renewed purpose. When I returned to my business, I came back with a clearer vision, a stronger foundation, and a greater appreciation for the gift I had been given. Today, **Turning Heads by TiaraB** is more than a beauty brand; it is a testament to resilience, faith, and perseverance.
While the journey has required blood, sweat, and tears, it has also been incredibly rewarding. Every obstacle has shaped me into the business owner I am today, proving that with perseverance, passion, purpose, and unwavering faith, everything works together exactly as it is meant to.

One of the most valuable lessons I have learned as an entrepreneur is to never be afraid to promote your business.
