Life & Work with Kristin Alpine of Alabama

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristin Alpine.

Hi Kristin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a Registered Nurse by training but friends kept asking me to teach them to cook or help with parties so I became a caterer and culinary educator! That eventually led to Private Chef. I live on a regenerative ranch and incorporate fresh food, and encourage connection with friends and family through food.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Very smooth, I always believe that when people ask for your services it’s because that’s where your talent lies – follow that lead! That doesn’t mean hard work isn’t involved though!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
They call me a culinary artist. I grow a lot of edible flowers and herbs to incorporate and love a beautiful plate!

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Follow your heart, keep going even when things are slow and be open to suggestions!
