Life & Work with Lush Vibez of Alabama

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lush Vibez.

Hi Lush , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Well I can safely say the dive into my purpose started at about 3 years old. That’s the first time I put pen to paper; drawing something that looked like a focused piece of art rather than scribbles. Around 8 is when I started my singing journey in my churches choir. But it wasn’t until I was about to graduate high school that I realized that the only way I could create something that was authentically me was if I learned to do it my self. So getting into beats and producing/recording started around age 19. My family wasn’t the strongest financially so getting to college was an all or nothing Gambit. By the grace of God I was awarded the Bill Gates Millennium scholarship granting a 7 figure full ride. College is where I learned to tie the different facets of art I embody into one thing. This is where my name originated: Lush Vibez. College is also where the idea for my company LV industries began to bloom. Today I’m currently battling things I’d rather not say but I’ll never stop creating! The first chapter of “BREAK❗” will release this year as well as various musical projects.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were more struggles than I could count or even remember honestly, but they’ve all made the journey worth it. Whether it was mixing music or drawing storyboards in my car due to homelessness, or back seating college for a while, none of the struggles beat losing some of my favorite people before ever showing them the success I always promised.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a Singer, recording engineer, and mangaka (manga creator) as well as the CEO of LV industries. I’ve put my hands in just about every form of art with music, graphic design, and overall creation as the forefront. Most people know me for my art, voice, or personality.

I’m honestly most proud of my artistic development! I never thought in a million years I’d actually be drawing the book I started writing 12 years ago!

I’m also proud of my own improvement. I’ve gone from being boo’d to having encore requests!

I’d say what sets me apart, is that I’ll be myself regardless. Undeniable, irreplaceable, and unapologetic. You’d have to meet me, hear me, or read my manga to understand.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
It’s mainly just music. I have music playing ninety percent of my day and that helps to regulate my mood.

Aside from that I enjoy gaming and reading whenever I have free time.
