Today we’d like to introduce you to Stanley Moore.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is BigBaggg, and I’m an independent artist from Montgomery, Alabama. Music started as a creative outlet and a hobby for me, but it quickly became my passion. What began with simply recording songs has turned into building an entire brand through visuals, performances, and fashion.
Outside of music, I’m also a licensed nurse, so balancing overnight shifts with studio sessions, video shoots, and performances has taught me discipline and consistency. Every opportunity I’ve earned has come from putting in the work, even when nobody was watching.
Recently, I released my mixtape, The Sensei: After Hours, featuring tracks like “Sexier Than U” and “WYD?,” which has helped me continue growing as an artist and further establish my identity. Although I’m still early in my journey, everything I’ve accomplished has come from believing in my vision.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of my biggest obstacles/challenges has been working 12-hour overnight shifts as a nurse while independently building a name for myself in the rap community. There are plenty of days where I’m running on little sleep, but I’ve learned that consistency matters more than waiting for the perfect conditions. Although it can be overwhelming, it has also made me a stronger creative and encouraged me to continue in the direction I’m going in.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Honestly, I’m most proud of being able to turn my visions into something people instantly can recognize. Ive gone from just releasing songs to creating moments through visuals, performances, and fashion. With this being said, I think that what sets me apart from others is that every detail has intention behind it whether it’s obvious or not. My goal has always been to build a brand that’s just as memorable as the music that I create.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I think risk-taking is a necessity in this industry. Whether people realize it or not, artists take a risk every time they release a single, a mixtape, an album, or even something as simple as cover art. You never know how your work will be perceived through someone else’s eyes. Some of my most loved songs were actually songs I originally planned to scrap, but I decided to trust my instincts and release them anyway. That experience taught me that growth is limited without taking risks.
