Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephon Scott
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Stephon Scott aka “BeatMonkey”. I’ve always been intrigued by music and how it was created. I made my first beat at 15 and ever since then it’s been non stop. Started BeatMonkey Productions in 2013 and since then I’ve been crafting my sound and networking to build with like minded individuals.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Most definitely not a smooth journey. I chose the streets at an early age and that stunted my growth as a producer because I put music on the back burner. Didn’t take it serious until 2013.

Music producer/engineer
Music production is my specialty.
Everyone who knows me knows I do the music. I think what sets me apart from others is the whole packaging of the music. Even tho I’m just a producer I take the artist approach when it comes to creating and releasing the music. Not just a beatmaker but also on some executive production as well.
How do you think about luck?
I mean it is what it is. What you put out in life comes back to you. I’m blessed to even still be able to create music let alone be known for making music. I remember just tryna be heard now it’s a business. Guess I’ve experienced both sides of the coin.
