Hi Bianca, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Bianca Shanise Bartlett, a model and actress from Huntsville, Alabama. I fell in love with modeling and acting around 2011 and never looked back. In 2020, I founded Nu Age TrendSettaz Fashion Magazine, built on the motto “No Talent Left Behind,” to give rising creatives the spotlight they deserve. I’m also co-host of Girl Talk w/ Bii & Bri on Elite TV (streaming on Roku), owner of Lucrative Consultancy LLC, and an Advanced Cosmetology student at Mane Strokes Academy in Huntsville. Every lane I’m in feeds the same mission: helping people look, feel, and show up as their best selves.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Building multiple businesses as a Black woman in Alabama meant learning everything the hard way: funding, visibility, and being taken seriously, all at once. There were seasons where I poured everything into my dreams while real life pressure piled up behind the scenes. But every setback taught me to run leaner, market smarter, and bet on myself anyway. The struggle is part of the brand now. I don’t just talk about resilience, I’ve lived it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a model and actress known for my versatility, from runway and print to on camera hosting. What sets me apart is that I don’t just perform, I produce. Between my magazine, my TV show, and my consultancy, I’ve built an ecosystem where beauty, media, and business meet. What I’m most proud of is Nu Age TrendSettaz, creating a publication from scratch that tells our stories, our way.
