Hi Tiffany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
This is how my journey in music and ministry, business and pageantry begin. It was the year 2023 and I spoke to my husband about making a song. I really had no intention of becoming an artist but from that single God lead me in that direction. I grew up trying my hand at pageantry but wasn’t any good. Tried pageantry again once in the year 2017 and 2019 I tried my hand at it again but I wasn’t successful in securing a national title. Before I got back into
Pageantry in 2022 through the Royal Productions Pageant System in their Classic Beauties International Pageant virtual pageant. I won fourth runner up ans Miss Congeniality and I decided to
try for their on stage pageant. Before trying their on stage pageant I was called into the ministry in 2023. I was afraid of ministry and didn’t move until 2024. In 2022 my then pageant director asked me to allow me to let her coach me in the on stage pageant so she could help me better my pageant skills. I did and ended up winning the national title Mrs. American Beauties National 2023-2024.’ During my reign it allowed me to utilize my nonprofit which became my pageant platform. I started my nonprofit in 2020 but it wasn’t until 2023 that I begin to put it to use. My name profit is a mentoring program S.T.A.R.S-Mentoring which stands for Standing Tall Against Restrictive Situations it’s for girls 7-17 years old. I also stepped out of my comfort zone and begin ministry in the church 2024. God had called me to be a youth minister and I was finally walking in my calling. After winning my first national title my pageant director encouraged me to coach my niece Amiya Lynn who was competing in the pageant in 2024. I coached her and she brought home a national title that year. In 2024 I begin to do more music and release it on streaming platforms. I also signed a record deal at the end of 2025 with a local independent record label Gas House Records LLC. Before signing I put out music independently. I wrote my first 21 day devotional called Remaining Anchored in 2026. Since dropping music I’ve had multiple preformace opportunities including Mob Fest in Mobile Al in 2026. Currently I’m building my Youth Ministry at my church Smith Tabernacle CME Church in Anniston AL. How I got to where I am today is my faith in God and mentors he has placed in my life. I wanna finish by encouraging people to not be afraid of the dreams God places inside of you. Just trust him and let him guide you.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Yes and No. I say that because the pageantry and music part was easy but ministry was hard due to me disobeying God and not doing ministry when he first called me. I didn’t think I was qualified that’s the main reason I didn’t leap when he called me to minister. My only struggle with music is that it can be expensive but worth it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What I do is make Christian Hiphop/ rock music. My music can be found on all streaming platforms. I specialize in ministering to youth, mentoring youth and pageant coaching for youth. Helping youth build and gain confidence to chase their dreams. What I’m most proud of is my music I’m also a writer wrote my first devotional in 2026. I love my ministry and the youth I get to mentor. What sets me apart from others is I’m not afraid to take chances even if I fail. I’ve learned to take the leap and see where I land.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Who deserves the credit is my Heavenly Father God he leads and guides me wherever I go in life. Secondly my husband Demarius and my mom Pam and step dad Dan they all encourage me behind the scenes to keep pushing. My nieces and nephews they all believe in me the older ones even step in to ensure I can achieve my dreams and goals. My mentor in ministry Rev. Dr. Gloria Hayes she pushes me in ministry and ensures I’m always on the right track. My therapist Dr. Deidre Cochran Rose she also pushes me to chase my dreams and to be unafraid. My family the Hicks, Perry and Shorter family they always show me love and support. Lastly when it comes to pageantry my coach Janelle and my pageant directors Natasha Shivers Sutton and Danielle Yancey they helped pushed me in pageantry to be my best self and not to give up when going after the title.
